In this sense, the breakage of the mooring systems that cause the fall of objects raised by the cranes, are the most frequent cause of accidents related to the handling of this type of machinery. A consortiumwill invest almost 880,000 euros in the project Tocarry out this ambitious project, a consortium formed by the company that created this hook, Elebia Autohook, together with the Eurocat-CTM technology centre and the (CDEI-UPC), which specialises in the Design of Industrial Equipment, will face an investment of almost 880.With regard to the technical aspects of the project, Elebia proposes the development of a system capable of managing information, whose implementation will make it possible to control the safety of processes that require the handling of large suspended loads.A system based on the principles of artificial intelligenceForthe supervision of the process, the idea is to identify the different elements responsible for the mooring by means of RFID tags, while a detailed calculation of the loads to be supported in each operation is produced. Once this information has been extracted, it is transmitted to the centralised management system through the "cloud", while a series of algorithms based on the principles of artificial intelligence will be in charge of determining the exact state of the elements used to secure the loads.

The technical success of this project will fall to a team made up of researchers and highly qualified personnel, who also have a great deal of experience in the specific field of intelligent maintenance systems.
